Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and service nature

By using TraceScope you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. TraceScope provides technical browser, network and fingerprint diagnostics, not legal, compliance, financial, security-certification or identity advice.

2. Results and accuracy

Results depend on permissions, anti-fingerprinting, proxies, caches, third-party sources, device state and timing, and may contain false positives, omissions or delays.

Labels such as pass, anomaly, risk, fingerprint-browser brand and consistency score are technical assessments, not final proof of origin, identity, misconduct or safety.

3. Permitted use

You may test environments you own, manage or are authorised to assess for privacy review, compatibility, development, QA and lawful security research.

4. Prohibited conduct

Do not track or profile others without authority, bypass access controls, scrape or attack the service, or use results for fraud, account takeover, privacy abuse, malicious automation or unlawful activity.

Do not misleadingly mirror, repackage or remove attribution from advanced probes or APIs, and do not submit malware, credentials or personal information you lack authority to process.

5. Reports and user content

You are responsible for reports you export, back up, submit or share. Reports may contain IP, device and browser characteristics; redact them and obtain permission where appropriate.

Future contribution or learning features will provide separate purpose, retention and visibility notices. Basic use does not grant an automatic public or training licence.

6. Third parties and intellectual property

Third-party DNS, STUN, GeoIP, risk data and links are governed by their own terms. Availability and accuracy are not guaranteed.

The interface, rules, text, branding and arrangement are protected by applicable intellectual-property law; open-source components remain under their licences.

7. Availability and changes

We may change, restrict, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, compliance, capacity or abuse prevention. The service is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Independently verify important findings and assume the risks of configuration changes, report sharing and third-party services.

We exclude indirect, incidental, special, punitive, profit and data-loss damages to the extent legally permitted. Non-excludable liability remains unaffected.

9. Applicable law and contact

You must comply with laws applicable to your location and use. Invalid provisions do not invalidate the remainder, and non-enforcement is not a waiver. Contact us through the channel published on the site before escalating a dispute.
